Keith You just through water onto the fire of hope :-( Is it true then? I thought Gail had got it! Maybe Hilda divorced but yes of course- if she married a William Hussey the her death would be recorded as Hilda Hussey 1949 but then maybe she did not mary!!! AGRRRRRRRRR! she is real tough cookie!

Maria GOD my spelling is awful I type too quickly- sorry. This date seems sensible also she died young my uncle did say this and that she had son who was a maths genious.... so he can't be a relation of mine... ha ha! no but yeh but no, this date looks right !do you have any more info or can I see it online myself. :-) odds on favourite- Hilda M Hussey - 1943 Q1 - Weston - 5c 503 age 42 do you all agree?

Jess Bow Bag Report 28 Dec 2006 16:31

Yes that is odds on a favourite BUT..... are you sure she married hussey? How far are you prepared to go with this? you'd need the sons birth cert really, which would confirm that Hilda do-dah was his mother and married to Willam Hussey, from Their marriage cert, which would in turn name her father. is Hilda likey to have died in Weston - (that is weston super mare)??

Hi Justin Sorry to confuse you, I thought you meant Hilda Mabel ? had married a Tripp, There is this birth.......... Hilda Mabel Tripp 1906 Q4 St Marylebone Greater London, London Volume: 1a Page: 490 but that does not tie up with the last death registration - let's look for a marriage first as previously advised. Gail.

Gail Marie, Looks you both could be right? 99% I will need to order a marriage and death certifiacte based on those facts you kindly supplied. I ordered a birth cert today on that horrible online form. I am not famed for my skill at this so I may receive a take away pizza, rather than her certificate. I ordered a cert for Hilda Mabel Tripp, Q reg Oct-Nov-Dec, district Marylelbone, county GL. Although the father and mothers names may wreck this order as the father was know by two damn names as in Jess's message for help (see board) and the mother Annie Mable may not be the mother! I will see and let you know. Justin

I'll go all the way Jess! on this Hilda. Shall I hold fire or go online and order her death and marriage certs? finance cannot stretch to he son cert at this stage. To confirm: Death 1943, Q1 Weston, 5C, page 503 Marriage William L Hussey, Holborn, Sept (Q?)1930 1b, 1423 Is this OK???

KeithInFujairah

KeithInFujairah Report 28 Dec 2006 16:56

Hi Justin, If finances are tight, I would send for the marriage certificate only at this stage, this will have her fathers name to confirm the birth cert details, and also help to confirm her age. The death cert would be nice but not absolutely essential at this time.

Jess Bow Bag

Jess Bow Bag Report 28 Dec 2006 16:58

YES go for the marriage- leave the death cert at this stage. You know she is dead, someone somewhere might actually know where and whn she died if you ask family members

Marmite

Marmite Report 28 Dec 2006 17:02

Roger that. I'll order the marriage cert- William.L.Hussey, Holborn, Sept, Q3, 1930, 1b, page 1423 I hope this info is OK???? or its 7 or 10 pounds down the pan. Justin

You mean Hilda M Tripp she was the sister of John Francis Tripp 1909. Her maiden name would be Tripp not Hussey she became a Hussey when she married William yes/no? oh no have I got muddled up again? she was the sister of John Francis Tripp I should not put her marriage name as Hussey. William was a Hussey not a Tripp as per your message just now.
