Hi Rachael I think that having that marriage and that death found for you has cracked the case because here is a birth of a Alec Cooke Liversidge Year of Registration: 1899 Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec District: Dewsbury County: Yorkshire Volume: 9b Page: 619 This fits in with the mother's maiden name and also the Alec Cooke L in death. Wow, thankyou so much! well does that mean that i should be Rachel Liversedge then? I really dont think that i would ever have got this far without your help. I just don't understand why some people dont 'get' family history. I've just phoned my dad up to tell him he's got the wrong name and he wasn't un intereseted, lets say just not bothered. In theory Rachel, yes lol People change their names all the time though, so you can use which ever you like best :) I get excited when I find new stuff about family. If I try to tell hubby, he's just not bothered. My mum is a little better, but not much lol

Stuart, my partner does humour me a little, but i think thats because it keeps me quite (inbetween jumping frantically around the house) I've been feeling really down lately because i lost my job 2 weeks ago and i'm not used to not doing anything. Thankyou for keeping my entertained today! I so want to phone all my Aunties and Uncles on that side of the family to tell them but my mum said that they would think i was mad. Alec Cooke L Etherington death cert purchased and you were right. It was the same one. When he died he was married to a Beatrice living in a place my dad can remember hs grandparents at. Thankyou so much i don't think i would have ever have solved it without your help! Kind Regards, Rachel
