Hi Helen, A difficult one for you, perhaps. Ann (Annie) ALLEN was born in Shrewsbury, Shropshire in 1839, daughter of Thomas and Sarah I think. I've found her in the 1861, in Shrewsbury aged 22, a housemaid. The next time I find her is 1881, she's 42 and she's in York working as a cook - she's still unmarried. In 1901 she is in Staffordshire but she says she's 60. So, where was she in 1841(aged 2), 1851(aged 12), 1871(aged 32) and 1891(aged 52)? I can't locate her. She remained unmarried, and was always clear about her Shrewsbury Shropshire birthplace, so maybe that will help. Thanks, Malcolm

Hi, please could you look up this family for me - I'm having no luck with them. John (Humphries) Smith - my mum thinks he might have been known as Jim, abt 1860 = ? (nee Robert?) children: Bill/WIlliam Minnie (not sure if thats short for something) Gladys Thomas Jack (again same with this one) Elizabeth/Betty unknown girl - died of diptheria age abt 9 and unknown child My grandfather, Cyril Smith - the youngest of 9 was born on 05/09/1904 - in gloucester I'm not sure of the ages of the children, Bill might be the oldest. The unknown mother made gloves for Dents The family were deffinetley living permantly in Gloucester by 1904. thanks Dom

Hi Helen, Your kind for offering to look up, so i wonder can you help me please? im trying to find a birth for a Christopher H Askew born about 1899/1900 dont know where but he was married in wandsworth to a May R Watts in 1924 and he died in 1957 aged 57 in south middlesex he also has a brother called William John Askew who was born abt 1889/1890 i dont know where but he married in 1914 to a Maud Mary Wilcher and died in 1948 in Barnstaple district aged 58, i dont have any more info im afraid. Hi Helen, With reference to Henry Caunce, his wife's maiden name was Ellen Clarkson, married at St John's Preston 1864. My frandfather Robert Caunce married my gran Alice Roper in 1896 at St Catherine's Church, Wigan and on the marriage certificate it gives Henry as deceased. On Lancs bmd I have found Henry Caunce born Croston, Preston 1844 and also Henry Caunce born Croston, Preston 1847. That's all I have I'm afraid Helen. Regards Joseph

Hello Helen, could you do a census look up for me please. Im looking for Owen Hughes ( a miller), he had children Catherine, 1870, Rebeccah, Hugh, Thomas and twins Ellen and annie born 1883 approx. I may have found him in the 1871 census but he seems to be a bit older than expected (c1813) and that perhaps his marriage to Ellen was after she had already married and had children of her own (surname Gore)

Hi Helen, Please can you look on the 1861 census for a Sarah Jane Boocock nee Sharpley born abt1840 Wakefield, i think her and her husband Joseph Boocock, born abt 1837, Wakefield were living with her parents at this time but unsure of their names. Kind Regards Hannah
