1851 has Thomas' occupation as retired wool carder. 1861 looks like shoemaker. None of which confirms that this is the right father really. |

1851 for Edward's father. Image shows his place of birth to be Dewsbury, not Heckmondike. He is on oneworld tree - wife is Mary Jane Walker. According to info there, they married 16/5/1842 in Wakefield. His father was Thomas Ellis, born 1782, Heckmondwyke, Dewsbury, who died 4/04/1869 Mary's father is shown to be Ricard Walker. |
