At present, you can search through ALL the BMD's for FREE using Ancestry. You have to 'register' with the site, but you don't have to subscribe. Failing that, you can use the BMD's on 1837online, which ~ after years of research~ I have found to be the most economic financially. You should bear in mind when the parents MAY have married and search for the marriage first. Once that's found, you can start searching for possible children ( you have the names of 3 already). Unfortunately, there is no quick, easy way of doing this. Highly recommend the pleasure when a child's birth is found though !! Ancestry Marriage index: http://content.ancestry(.)co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8965 ... remove ( ) from addy. Births: http://content.ancestry(.)co.uk/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=8964 ... again, remove ( ) When you have retreived all the information from the indexes: Surname, Given Names, ( Spouses Surname - Marriage)) or (Mothers Maiden Name - Births) District (where events was registered), Ref No ~ the ref no consists of Volume No and Page number ie: 6b (Volume) and 1234 (Page Number ) ....... then you can order certs online (cheaper) from the GRO at Southport... http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/Login.asp You do have to register with the site first and then log in ... and place your order ... using Debit or Credit Cards. Payment is 110% secure. Elaine ;-)

Have limited information on my grandfather's family. Have found his sibling's birth certificates on freebmd in Wandsworth district and have living relatives who remember visiting some of them so am pretty sure they stayed in the same area. Where do I go to lookup marriage info and births for their children? The most detailed sibling info I have is this one: Thomas Guy b 9/10/1899 in Wandsworth district. I have his birth cert. Living relatives have told me he married and had three sons Albert/Michael/John. I have no idea when they were born!! Can I obtain Thomas's marriage/death cert and those of the children. If so, where from? I also have at least two more of my grandfather's siblings I know married but am still awaiting their birth certs to get exact date of birth. Can anyone help me in my quest? Thanx
