Recieved Death Cert today Can Someone advise Pls

Also can anyone help place of death was 5 Brunsivie Square camberwell(not sure exact spelling looks like i what i wrote) Is this a hosptial or whatever. Its not her address at time as this was 90 Harders Road Peckham. |

As an inquest was held the Coroner is the informant. Have you tried the Coroner's office / dept where it was held. As a public document (inquest held) you may be able to get access to it, if they still have it. I see that you have the actual inquest date. Why not give them a quick phone call and see if anyone is prepared to help. |

Ok and there was an inquest beacuse of the abortion? Is there anyway of finding out inquest info? Also there was no informant just says ' cert recieved from a douglas cowburn coroner for county of london? any ideas? |

As the death cert states that there was an abortion, there could not have been a birth.............. Definition............... Legal Encyclopedia Abortion The spontaneous or artificially induced expulsion of an embryo or fetus. As used in legal context, usually refers to induced abortion. Reg |

Hi According to what i new her last child was born 1931. We never knew she died of septicaemia till today. There is no record of another child in 1933 that i could find |

Alexandra she probably had the baby at home and then died from septicaemia so they held a PM to find the cause of death. Georgina. |

septicaemia = blood poisoning Septicemia is a serious, life-threatening infection that gets worse very quickly. It can arise from infections throughout the body. ~ incomplete abortions can lead to septicaemia Abortion has been legal in Britain since 1967, but only by permission of two doctors and in restricted circumstances An inquest is a formal process of state investigation. Abortion was illegal.........usually carried out in back street 'clinics' by unqualified people. A miscarriage would not have prompted an inquest. Reg |

Hi thanks for reply it definetly says speticaemia following abortion. It also states How caused no evidence to show. |

Hi Recieved a long 5 weeks awaited death cert today need some help with a few bits on there death 1933 Cause of Death Septicaemia following abortion. I have been told sometimes miscarriage was called abortion in them days is this true? Also it states inquest held 1st dec 1933. Is there any way of finding out inquest info and what reasons do they do inquests for as not everyone has one. |
