I see that Jess has also been working hard, trying to find Edith. As she suggests, Edith's marriage cert would give you Edith's father's name. I think you need to order that. Update: (snap, Elaine)

Also on your other thread you say that Edith Waterhouse was born c1900. You really need to get some certificates otherwise we are very likely to come up with the wrong family unless you have got something concrete to go on.

Are you saying that you have found Thomas, Lizzie and Polly on 1901 census - but Edith and Emily were not with them ?? Do you have years of birth for Thomas. Lizzie and Polly. Do you know the names of the parents?

think they are on the 1901 census living in prestwich manchester i may be wrong

Not immediately obvious - do you have any other information - parents names, siblings, fathers occupation etc.
