I've been looking for a Herbert Cawser born 1886 he went to work in london, found his death in Birmingham but cannot find him anywhere in between Has anyone got any suggestions where I could find records of him thanks derek

I think you might need more details before anyone is able to help. Born where ? Occupation ? etc........ the DC might hold clues ( but no many ! ) Do you have no idea of who parents might be ?! The onlly one I could find was born 1886 in Staffordshire and is on the 1891 census.......but how would you know if he's your chap ?! ESta

Derek, I just had to add this. I think 16 months is a very long time to wait to come back to a thread to say thank you. Some of the people who found information for you are no longer members of this site, and probably don't remember the look up anyway. Perhaps it would be better for you to click on their names and send them a personal message (they will get an email from Genes to tell them they have a message), as otherwise they may not come back to the site to see your thanks. I hope you don't take offence at this, but requests are usually answered very quickly on this site, as you will see by the times and dates of replies on this thread. Kath. x
