Find Ancestors

We see two Ellen Percival's in the 1881 Census, both born in Chappel, Essex (where our Ellen was born) and with different parentage. We have a birthdate of 1871 for our Ellen (also known as Barbara), and we tend to favour the 1872 entry. Has anyone any idea how we can establish which is 'ours'. Maybe her marriage certificate, with hopefully her father's name, is the only way to be sure. Any other ideas please? Many thanks, Shirley

Think it's safe to say yours is the 1872 birth as the 2 Ellens are consistent with there ages.. Looks like the older one married Alfred Gardener.
