Sorry David
The CD doesn't cover Bradfield. It does have a few Gowings on it, but no David. Should you have any other names/areas to check, I can look again.

sorry I couldn't help on this occasion.

♥Deetortrainingnewfys♥ Report 29 Aug 2007 00:34

Sorry Alison
Chelmondiston is not covered by the CD. I do have several Robert Coopers, some married to a Mary, but no Mary Ann Lucas I'm afraid.

Sorry I couldn't help.

Hello Denise
I'd be very grateful if you could check your Suffolk marriage PRs for James Basham. His son, William was born abt 1815 and was living in Knettishall in 1841. He died before the 1851 census, so I don't know if he was born in Knettishall or not. It is a bit oif a long shot but I'm hoping his parents married in Knettishall or nearby.
Thanks
Lin

Happy New Year Rosalind

The only two James Basham's on the CD were as follows:

To

Sarah Brittain 5/4/1805 at Norwich St Martin at Palace

&

Ann Holyet 17/10/1815 at Norwich St Edmund's

Hope one of these is yours, if you have any other names for me to check, please come back to me.

Best wishes
Dee

Would it be possible to trace Johanna Green
born C.1825 in Norwich please? She married James Facey in Middlesex in 1846 and her father's name was Joseph Green. Presumably they moved to London to look for work. His occupation is coach man.

Happy New Year Cynthia

Obviously Green is a popular name and there are hundreds on the CD.

I have picked out the Joseph Greens married in Norwich:

Married to:

Maria Tillett 24/9/1820 St Martin at Palace

Charlotte Weldon 25/12/1824 St Martin at Palace

&

Ann Jones 6/1/1830 St Peter per Mountergate.

It could be either of the first two, but I would think Charlotte Weldon (going on Joanna's birth year - if she was the oldest child).

Unfortunately, the CD only gives Groom/Bride, Date and parish. You would have to look at the parish records at Norwich Record Office to tie-in with father's occupatiion - it may also have the same address for the family on the 1841 census if they hadn't moved to London by that year.

It gives you something to work on. It would be worth looking for any baptism's in the same parish records for any siblings to Joanna which would also tie-in with census listings. If Joseph's father is mentioned on the marriage record, please come back to me and I can look again on the CD for his marriage, though, if you are looking in NRO, they have a copy of the CD there and could look for you.

Good Luck
Dee
