Rotherham library has a book of monumental inscriptions. On viewing ancestors in st Mary's Greasbrough i came across inscriptions for the Mooregate cem. Mooregate cem is unmissable, you can see it on the hill as you drive through to Rotherham from Brinsworth. The cem looks down on to the houses at Canklow. If you look for Bostin park on a Rotherham map, the cematery is next door. It's the biggest cem in Rotherham.

Hi Elaine & Bridie Elaine, thanks mate, its good to be back. Even though I'm still not going any further forward just further backwards it seems!!! Lol Bridie, thank you for your interest. Im not sure where the cemetery is. There are various web sites about it and its still there somewhere in Rotherham but, thats all I know. Hello I'm trying to work out where Moorgate cemetery might be. I'm familiar with this area of Rotherham - it's where the hospital is - must be a pretty small place. Are you sure it still exists?

Hi Jan Thanks very much for your time and help. Sorry, I should have said on my post that's where I found the information. I'm hoping that somebody might have the list of inscriptions and be able to tell me a little bit more as I dont live near the area to be able to visit the cemetery. Many thanks once again for your help. Kindest regards Debbie
