They are both married. 1901 census for Ellen Haley age 28 a florist, and sister Jessie Bateman age 31 also a florist, both born Strand district of London and living in the district of St.Clement Danes. EPHRAIM WAKEFIELD That's definitely the right people! But the online transcription of St Giles, Rowley Regis has them down as being married on 23/4/1873? Perhaps they needed a new toaster? I was rather hoping Ephraim's family were around in 1861, but I suppose they could be elsewhere...hmmm!
