Basically, the civil registration on Ancestry is the same as that on Free BMD. They do have births, deaths, and marriages from 1984 - 2002 but these only come up if you punch in the name (in the general search box) of a person listed in them. Cheers, Lynn

Heather, Ancestry didn't tell us when they uploaded the 1861. It was announced at a Family History Exhibition in London. There is a big Family Tree Fair up North tomorrow so perhaps....... We'll see! Cheers, Lynn

Wouldnt they have told us though? Perhaps they will wait until after the special £55 offer finishes?

I can't see anything about the 1851 on there at the moment. Did you mean the whole, entire, lovely, complete census? Please say yes.

The sample 1851 census that was available was mostly Devonshire census, with a few extra's thrown in ! I know cos I travelled all round Devonshire with my family using it !! I'm gonna scream if they are uploading the rest of the 51 for you all !! but I'll be very happy for you all at the same time X I'll keep my eye's on this thread ;-) Good Luck everyone, I do hope its good news :-) Elaine :-)

I don't see 1851 at all now - I wonder whether they tried it, it didn't work and then took it down. So perhaps it might come back soon?
