Hi Lal I have had problems with the site too. It doesn't like my browser (firefox) so have to use internet explorer to get on. Have you downloaded the djvu software that you need to view the images? you can look up to 2002 but after 1920 it is surnames only and you have to check the page of each 1/4 to look at first names/places etc. each page costs 1 credit about 10p depending how many credits you buy at once. If you can't find your ancestor on 1837 perhaps they were listed with a misspelt name? have you considered other methods to narrow the timeframe such as electoral rolls or street directories? good luck netti x

Hi Netti Could you please look up a birth for me - Alice Jane Moffatt around 1867 - 1870 ish she should be born in Brentford area. In the 1871 census her age was 1 In the 1881 census her age was 12. I have asked Mary to look and she can't find it in the year 1870 (she looked on 1837). I hope this is OK Thank you Tammy ps I too live in Worcestershire.
