Hi Ann you and your husband are very very nice people!!!! Thank you on behalf of myself and everyone on this thread for your very generous offer!!!! I would be grateful if you could look up a death for me please when you next go or (have spare time, with all your requests) His name was FREDERICK HENRY GEORGE, he, we hope, died in the MANCHESTER U.K. area in about 1927 onwards!! he was born (so we've been led to believe) in Sydney Australia, in 1881! he fought with the Machine Gun Corps in WW1. He settled in Manchester with my Gran Lilian Watt, as a draughtsman, they had a daughter born 1924 and a son in 1927!!! If you have the time could you also see if you can find a marriage between Lilian and Frederick, I presume from 1920 -24 when daughter was born!! I do hope you don't mind the extra!!! but I will be eternally grateful to you both, for anything. kind regards Val

hi ann - hope you do not mind me adding this. i go to huddersfield library. they have the st catherines index there. that is all registered births deaths and marriages after 1837. it is the same as the 1837 site. all on film, in quarters. i believe all main libraries have this. having just spent £5 on the 1837 site [because i could not wait-lol] i will do the rest at the library. if you ring your nearest main library - ask them if they have it. sue.

Could you please look up Iris Walmsley for me , somewhere between 1913 and 1931 born in Dewsbury to Mary Ellen and James Walmsley. She died there too as a teenager I belive, but don't know how accurate that info is. I would be very grateful if you can find a marriage for Mary Ellen Butterill nee O'Reilly / Riley and James Walmsley too between 1909 and 1931 either Wakefield or Dewsbury. Thanks for this Ann. Hi Anne, We looked up deaths for Herbert, but unfortunately forgot to take down the age most of the time, but here are the ones we found. Unfortunately none in the right area, if you would like other years checking let me know, we checked 1917-1920 Mar 1917 Herbert C Long, Depwade, 4b 323 Dec 1917 Herbert C Long, Chelsea, 1a 460 Sep 1918 Herbert Long, Camberwell, 1d 812 Dec 1919 there were 2 in Lincoln, did not think that would be very useful, so did not note them Dec 1920, Herbert A, Windsor, Age 35, 2c 490 So I don't think we found your guy, but hopefully at least we have elimated some time off your search!
