susan riddlesden hi, sorry for taking so long. i went right through 51 ossett- nearest i could find where 'ruddlesden' entries . i found horatio on the 71- in halifax. i also found his marriage - march 1872 halifax. 9a 407. but you probably have this. will have another quick look through the census- but looks like he had left ossett by 1851. sue.

Hello Sue, I,m not sure if I have enough info to enable you to do a search, this is where I,m currently stuck!!! I know HARRIET ABE married SAMUEL GORDON MCDAKIN in Sculcoates, Yorks on 27th Oct 1834. I strongly suspect that Harriets mother was a Probart. If this is not enough info to look for their births/Christenings I quite understand. Kind regards Kim.

Hi Sue Just wondering if you saw my earlier follow-up re: Riddlesdens? I know it's a lot to ask and will understand if you don't have time - can you let me know how to get hold of the West Yorks parish records ... I haven't worked out how to get at this information yet, and that's what's holding me back! Many thanks Su
