Denise I cant find anything on Stapley. Never heard of Steyning. What other info do you have. Have you found them on the census? Gloria

Hi Gloria Just in case it's of relevance, Teston is 2 miles from Maidstone (and famous for its cricket balls, of all things); I think Steyning is in Sussex, not Kent - I've never heard of one down here. So the people who wanted lookups there probably wouldn't be covered by your PRs. Lysianne, Herne Bay

Hanmore's Thanks so much for looking Gloria, I have always known these were a dodgy bunch, Didn't seem to get round to registering anything, well not births, and if they were ever married is another matter. James, Daddy was born in Ightham according to 1871 census, his wife Elizabeth in Yalding, Family then lived in East Peckham. But other than Census' no info what so ever, which is why your offer was so wonderful. Well it now seems they didn't frequent the church either! Thanks for looking Sue

Hello Gloria, Thank-you for your very kind offer. Could I ask for a look-up for a marriage between William Bodiam and Sarah (surname unknown) in Hollingbourne. Bodiam is quite an uncommon name. I would expect the marriage to have taken place sometime between 1830-1838 (I realise your records only go up to 1837 for Hollingbourne though) - and it would probably be towards the end of the 1830s rather than the beginning (their eldest child was born c. 1838). Thanks ever so much! Hannah
