Liz There are only two births for Ctherine McNeils and neither have a mother called Lydia. There are 9 births for Adam Andersons between Dec 1835 and Jun 1837 but I really need a clue to the area. There are no Adam Andersons in your age range on the 1891 census but there are 14 Catherine Anderson's but, again, I would need an area to search further as viewing the images is expensive so would quickly use up my credits. I am happy to email/post you the information that I have printed off. Thanks Andrea

i F YOU GET A CHANCE COULD YOU LOOK UP ADAM ANDERSON C1836 IN SCOTLAND- PRINTER CATHERINE -W - C1838 SCOTLAND LYDIA A - C18857- EDINBURGH SCOTLAND THEY HAD MANY MORE CHILDREN ALL BORN IN LONDON THIS INFO IS FROM 1871 CENSUS ON 1881 CENSUS IT ALSO SHOWS A LYDIA MC NEALE WITH THEM C1814 MOTHER IN LAW ALSO BORN IN SCOTLAND SOMEBODY MANAGED TO TRACE A WEDDING BETWEEN AN ADAM ANDERSON & CATHERINE MC NEIL ON 11/4/1856 IN EDINGBURGH & A DOB FOR LYDIA A ANDERSON 14/6/1856. I AM TRYING TO FIND ANYTHING EARLIER I.E PARENTS DETAILS & ALSO DID THEY MOVE BACK TO SCOTLAND AS THEY DISAPPEAR AFTER 1881. LYDIA (DAUGHTER) MARRIED WILLIAM CAVALIER IN 1876 & IS ON THE ENGLAND CENSUS 1891 BUT NOTHING ANY LATER. WOULD BE GREATFUL FOR ANY INFO THANKS LIZ

Debi Still working on yours. Have found a James aged 30 and Ellen aged 27 in Rutherglen but I am having difficutly seeing the image so have contacted the site administrators for help. I will update you as I can. Steve There are no births for a Mary Elizabeth Gloag registered between 1890 and 1900. Sorry. Thanks Andrea

Andrea Please could you try to find Agnes Fairbairn (nee Frater or Fratter) in the 1871 census. She was married to fisherman Robert in the '61 in Dunbar, and a widow living with son David in the '81 in Tranent, but haven't been able to trace her in the one in between and find whether her husband was alive or dead at that time. James McKenzie aged around 32 Ellen his wife aged 21 born 3 July 1863 in Newbattle Midlothian Donald - son born 27 May 1890 Uphall Sorry I have no more info on James the Head :( Many thanks for your time : ) Much happiness Debi
