hi di, when was she born. isnt it possible , if she married in leeds, that she could have been living in leeds in 1861. might i be better looking on the 1851 wakefield census- might be more chance of her still being there ? have you an address on the cert ? sue.

Hi Sue Jane Elizabeth Hitchen married William Routh at St Peter's Leeds on November 26th 1866. I have their marriage certificate and that shows her father as Robert Hitchen. On the 1881 census she's down as being born in Wakefield so I hoped that she and her parents would be on a previous census and that would give me her mother's name. Thanks and regards Di
