Hi, My Beecheys were all born in Witney, and are in Witney in the '81 census. Their famillies before them were all born in Witney! Thanks for your time! Paula

Does Kings Sutton come under Oxford or is it Northamptonshire? If you are able could you please try and locate a Thomas & Eleanor Gibbons on the 1841, interested to find details of children. Also Charles & Ann Gibbons from 1851 onwards. Many thanks for your time.

Hi Gwen Have searched 1841 for Alfred/Mary Brookings and could not find them. Only one Brookings family in Witney Joseph/Elizabeth and they had a son Richard age 6,but I guess that is not a lot of use to you. I will look at 1871 now to try to find Richard and trace him back.Witney is a big place to keep "eyeballing" so will take a breather have a cuppa and go for it later Regards Mary

Hi Paula Not good news about the Beecheys. There are quite a few Beechey families in Witney on the 1841 census but not the ones you asked for. Some of the pages are illegible and it is possible they could be on one those. Would you like me to have a look on the 1851 census for Witney?I am happy to do it if you think they may be there. mary

Hi Constance thank you for your offer you answered one of my threads the other day and is it to much to ask you to look up the following for me from the 1841 census it is for an Ellen MINCIN from Eynsham and I think she would have been about 2 years old on that census. Also I notice you have a thread for ancestry look ups I don't know what you can find on there but if it cost you anything please don't spend any money on it I am looking for an ARTHUR POND BORN IN lONDON BETWEEN 1912-1914 thanking you for your time Margaret

Hi Mary You very kindly looked up some of my Robinses for me in Swerford (NW Oxon, nr Chipping Norton) a couple of months ago. Would you be able to look for my Cosiers in Swerford, please? A Cosier married a Robins and they were my 5x great grandparents. I'd be very grateful if you could look on the 1841 census in Swer(rrrr)ford for me, please (local pronunciation in brackets). A lot of them had changed their spelling to Cozier by that time, although it had originally been with an s, but they are all mine, and all related to each other. With many thanks in advance, and best wishes Lysianne
