A disquieting thought... has Ancestry done this as a marketing tool to keep everyone hooked - divert attention from the fact the 1871 isn't finished etc? Stymie the criticism that flowed across every genealogy board about their free trials ? Oh well beggars can't be choosers but they sure know how to ensure people keep paying subs! Tired and disgruntled as I spent half the night searching the PRO 1901 -why did they think my Fairy clan were so oddly named???????????????? Am I allowed to swear on this board... perhaps if I do it in Maori they won't understand! Happy hunting folks Marlene

Janice, Scary thought LOL ! Marlene, Aww Birmingham census? If only 1871 Ancestry had it, I'd try that for you ! T

Hi Tracey Thanks for asking about my Fairey /Fairy lot. Unfortunately some have flitted away!!. I am still looking for someone who can open the 1871 image for William Farry and son William Farry 28 on the Birmingham census and tell me whether it's another mistranscription or not! And where they lived and whether there others with them! I have added 27 to the GC tree today though so I am not shirking! Cheers Marlene

I would ask my gg-grandmother about her husband!! I can't find a birth, marriage or death for him, and she manages to keep producing children while she's a widow LOL Amazing for what appears to be her imaginary friend!!!!!! By the way, if anyone finds any evidence for the existence of a Richard Noble Parkinson, middle 1800s, please let me know :-) Janice

Kia ora DELIGHTED for you all. Now who will be first to offer look ups for 1901 to we Colonials I wonder??? We'll know exactly who has burned the midnight oil searching for their own family!! Who hasn't cooked dinner for hubby, who hasn't washed, ironed, fed the cat! I guess the Easter Bunny does exist, just late in some places! Enjoy your Easter treat. I always know my FAIRY family will come to the party on their birthdays and today is Grandma's 115th!! SO ENJOY MY FRIENDS! and remember - Ancestors never die they simply lose their census! Cheers Marlene in NZ

All this euphoria spare a thought for those of us who don't have any rellies in the few areas released,we're still stuck with paying for our info.GRRRRRRR. I'm not jealous really just pleased that some people can now blow raspberries at PRO. Good luck to all those with rellies in Hampshire Surrey etc,etc Mary
