Hi Robin I am trying to find marriage of Frances helen Thornton and George Shirley,(My Grandparents) Frances was single in 1901 living in Carlton Notts but then I found her in Beeston 1905 there was a big Shirley family lived in Beeston at same time .I have george shirley deceased on my parents marriage cert( 1940) it also states he was a doctor of medicine ,also Frances death cert (1956)gives ? Shirley ships doctor I have really come to a dead end with this but maybe you can find something I cannot. Many Thanks Madeline |

All my ancestors seem to come from Nottingham - where is the best place to look? I am very new to this so any help would be appreciated. Thanks....Valerie |

hi there, anything on the caudwell family of teversall, notts. nr mansfield, not 1881/1891/1901, census but 1871 or earlier or marriage indexs etc. trying to conect joseph and mary of whiteboro and my g,g, grand parents william and paskey. thanks gary |

The marriage does not show on the Indexes.but where is Church Anston. The only one I know of near Notts is North and South Anston in WRY |

Hi Robin I am trying to find out about a marriage between a William gray and Ann ? from Church Anston Notts. The marriage took place here in Church Anston. William was born abt 1806 in Winterton so i guess the marriage took place about 1826. Do your records go back this far. Thanks for any help Jane |
