Melvyn It must have changed the bounderies between 1871 and 1881 and perhaps Cornbury Road wasn't built in 1871. Hope you find who your looking for. Lynda

Hi Melvyn Bermondsey doesn't come in the London census. Deptford St Paul came under Greenwich in the London census. I did a Street search for Cornbury Road, and that wasn't in the index. Is there another part to the address? Lynda

I do recall that Bermondsey was in London and now in Surrey - think it's to do with border line change. And christening do often get done years after birth.. it's difficult to tell really - unless knowing the birth date

found the email thanks. Would they christen babies two years after there birth? Harrison seems to be a common name in this area of london, I don't know london at all.Has Bermondsey always been in london?

I am looking for a William Harrison in the 1871 London Census but it is a long shot. I would say he would be about 20 years old living in bermondsey and he could well be married to a lady called clara E. ? . If not it would be his parents. I am sorry if there is not enough information here but it is all that i have got. thank you
