A quick apology to Margaret and Angela for not getting back to them on the further info they found, but I've been contacted by a lady about my Cocks family and she's turned out to be my 3rd cousin, whom I didn't know existed and with whom I've been e-mailing details for the last couple of days. I will look into the records they found and thanks to them once again. I would still be interested if anybody is a member of the Lincolnshire FHS and who could access the surname interest for Swann in Holbeach, shown on their website. Regards Ron |

Thanks Shirley, I'm trawling through Ancestry to see if I can find any of the other children on the census records, so I'll add this new Benjamin to the search. Regards Ron |

I have Benjamin in the 1841 census with his wife Mary and 5 sons: William, James, Alfred, George and Charles. They lived in the parish of St Mary Sutton in Lincolnshire, registration district of Holbeach. I have been unable to find him in any future census, nor his death. Any help on this would be appreciated. I noticed on the Lincolnshire Family History Society website that someone has surname interests for Swan(n) in Holbeach but I can't access the records because you need to be a member. Is there any kind person who is a member who would be willing to look on my behalf? Thanks in advance Ron |
