I saw that one Jim, but in 1901 that boy is still with dad (mums gone) (and this Thomas was apparently elsewhere with wife and kiddie?) Everything else seems to fit - was he a carman on the marriage cert? Dad shown as stoker - aka as ships fireman - but bit of a mystery??? On the marriage cert what address did he give as residence and what was his occupation? Who were the witnesses - as he was under full age - assume mum and dad must have agreed to the marriage? You say from the kids birth certs you have his fathers name - you mean his marriage cert, dont you. |

Can anyone help or advise me I'm looking for any information on Thomas Graham born 1881c?? this is what I know; Thomas Graham married Emily Louisa Mardle 1899 Walworth, Southwark. (aged 20 on marriage certificate) 1901c living as a family with daughter Catherine b1900 all living at 38 Elliotts Row London Southwark. (Thomas is aged 20 on this census) From their childrens birth certificates I know his fathers name was John Graham. I also know that Thomas met Emily in the Shoreditch area. Thomas and Emily spent their married life here, where they had their children. I also know he died between 1926 and 1946 but cannot pinpoint him on BMD. Please can anyone help/advise me on how to go about finding out more about him I have got some birth certificates for Thomas' born around this time but how can I be sure I have the right one.
