Thanks all for that. I'm sure my man was born in Dent so Brenda has him in 1881. The 'Francis' name is a link too. So you found him in 1871. I'm a bit confused withthe 1804 dates though. I think Christopher from Dent had a son b 1849 Manchester also named Christopher. I was hoping the son, Christopher 1849, would be with them in 1871. He doesn't appear to be there. I think Christopher 1849 appears twice in 1881. Once in prison the other at home. Can you look to see if he appear twice in 1871. I think he is a butcher like his father. Thanks Simon.
