Hi Pam, Had a look at other thread and it hasn't unearthed anything for me :0((( Apart from...I have found a James Clegg on 1841 in parish of Prestwich cum Oldham in the hundred of Salford. James Clegg age 55 occ; weaver Betty Clegg age 55 Maria Clegg age 20 Robert Clegg age 16 All born in county. Could this be the James Clegg you were after? Haven't followed them on though as I need to go to work for a while. Maybe someone else could pick them up? HO107 piece 547 book 6. I will pop back on later on and hope you get some results, Jane

Sorry Pam, I meant to say on 1861/71. The marriage I found was for Wlliam Edward Tipping to Adelaide Naylor in 1857 (july qtr Salford). I can find hind nor hair of any of your Tippings :0((( There is a death for a Mary Tipping in july qtr 1943 Salford, but there is no age listed then, so cant be certain it would be yours. Where did you get the information on the Tippings from?

Hi Pam, 1841 doesn't give where they were born, just whether or not they were born in county. All your Tippings have a 'y'..so yes, they were all born there...ish. The address just states Greengate, nothing more...hope that's okay.
