Many thanks Brenda On the basis that they can't even spell their own surname correctly - it is definitely the right family - I'm not going to worry that she has morphed from Jessie into Jane! regards Bo

Thanks Brenda I think it could be a case of his parents forgetting where in the world their offspring were born! Nathaniel might be India as his brother was possibly born there in 1888. (I got the info off the 1901 census) Is there a Cecilia Maud born in Douglas Park in 1894 as she was born between Augusta and Launcelot (the P stands for Pouncey yes really!) Many thanks Bo

I'm looking for the birth of NATHANIEL M PIGOTT born Bega NSW in 1889. His parents are Charles Richard and Jessica Pigott. Charles was a soldier. I'm particularly interested to discover what the M stands for as in the UK 1901 census all the other children were listed by their middle names - which didn't amuse me!! However I can find no trace of Nathaniel after 1901 and wonder if he reverted to his middle name also! thanks Bo
