I have people who married in their 1st given name, or both names, or only 2nd given name or with an additional 'invented' middle name....anything is possible. It is best to work back from facts. What is shown on the certificate for Emily's father's name and occupation? UPDATE Who did she marry...and what was his age and occupation? Gwyn

When Emily married her father George Duke (deceased)was a commercial clerk, she lived in Phoenix St St Giles London Married Frederick Rice (Printer) April 1898 Her age on certificate is 23yrs which is a little bit out but seeing i know someone who added 2yrs on when getting married that may run in the family many thanks for your time
