Mackenzie family/ clan?

hi there would love some information about the mackenzie side of my family although it is a little short and not much data i was wondering if someone could shed some light on the brick wall i have stumbled across my great grand mother was a christine/a mc/mackenzie who married a thomas pearson in houghton le spring in 1913. she was born around 1880. she had a father called gordon. thatas all i know im afraid. any help would be very greatfull many thanks ian wade

I cannot find a Christina McKenzie with father Gordon on the 1901 census have you got the marriage cert? if not i would suggest you get the cert, her are the detials Name: Christina B McKenzie Year of Registration: 1913 Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep Spouse's Surname: Pearson District: Houghton Le Spring County: Durham Volume: 10a Page: 1029 Roy

At the moment i can't find her in the 1901 or 1891 for England and Scotland

This might be her family in 1891. She's not with them but this is the only Gordon that comes up. If she was born c1880 the pearson marriage could be her second marriage that would mean that McKenzie is her name from privious marriage and not her maiden name, the best way forward is to buy the marriage cert. her is a possible birth for her in 1895? pork pie thanks for all your help this has been great. i am not sure about that census report as i know her father is called gordon from an old will of somebodies although it does look like the same christina. i think your right too about there being another father or something. i can sense the has been some kind of goings on. ill find out more when i recieve the birth certificate hopefully next week and i will finally be able to find some missing links! thanks alot for your invaluable help, its muchly appreciated
