Linzi I searched on Joseph...born Russia...age about 24, .. + or - 2 years.....and that name was the best match to your man. I have found that sometimes it is better NOT to put in a surname....some of my mistranscribed ones didn't show on a Soundex search. I'm glad we found him. Gwyn |

Was Rose from UK? How old was her husband? What was his father's name and occupation? If you have details from the marriage cert. please could you post them , ...including witnesses.? That's not long to meet someone and decide to marry them....not impossible I know but I wonder if he WAS here before the census but his name is more Russian and so not easily identified as your man. Has anybody got any idea how I can traceany information about my great grandfather? He arrived in Liverpool on a ship in 1901 from Russia. He does not appear on the 1901 Census but he got married in November 1901. How would I trace what ship he was on etc? His name was Joseph Chazen and he married Rose Nathan. |
