Hi I am looking for a possible obituary for a person who died in 1883. In 1881 he was living in Amble. Does anybody with local knowledge know the names of newspapers published at that time. Any help much appreciated. Maureen |

Hi Jane Thanks for the info. I googled Northumberland Gazette and it appears to be a fairly recent publication BUT I did find that the Alnwick County Gazette took over from the Alnwick Mercury in 1883. Many thanks for your help Maureen |
