Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I am trying to track down my grandfather's death record but I am now totally stumped of where to look now. I know when he supposedly died and I know where he died but I can't find him on the BMD. His name is Lawrence Joseph Heptinstall stall and he was born in 1913 to Sam Heptinstall and Dorothy Jacques. He married my GRandmother Hilda Gott on 26 DEcember sometimes in the 1930's. He died (as far as anyone in my family can remember) on 25 August 1972 of lung cancer in Snapethorpe Hospital in Wakefield but I just can't seem to find his death on any records.Wakefield has a search facilty on their website to check burials and cremations but I can't find him listed on their. I did try and apply for his death cert from GRO and applied for Joseph Lawrence Heptinstall just in case that was how he was registered at death as everyone call him Joe but GRO couldn't find him either. Can anyone else help?
