I have Esthers details as I found her on the census, she was born in Clayton Le Moor in 1894, I have had trouble locating her after Charles died though, I cannot find a death record for her. think she possibly remarried, but this is one in many a brick wall i have come across

Thank you for all your help yes my grandfathers parents did marry, Charles W Kershaw married Esther Hannah Hope in 1915. My grandfather was brought up by an Aunt Minnie, possibly his mothers sister. Charles died in the first world war, i have no idea what happened to his mother

I dont know if he was BORN in Accrington, I just know that was his address at the time he died, my grandfather (Charles son) was also brought up in Accrington. I researched the link for Milnrow, but got an email from a lady whose grandfather was a Charles W Kershaw from Milnrow who also had sisters Gladys and Florence, only her Charles did not die in first world war.

i am trying to research a Charles W Kershaw, he died in World War 1 and is listed at Menin Gate, Ypres. He died on 8 June 1917.
