Hi Janice, The story goes three sisters came over together from Ireland to Glasgow/Lanark and my gran Mary Carney I think may have been the youngest but not sure, she told my cousin she was only 17 when she came to Scotland. Betty |

Hi Jet, Thanks for looking that could Catherine's parents and yes they all came from Ireland. I know Catherine was related to my grandmother Mary Carney but I also can't find my gran in a census either unless they have marked it wrongly. Thanks for your help. Wonder where Catherine went then. The birthplaces for all of those above are Ireland or England which could explain them not being on a Scottish census. Janice |

Looking for a Catherine Carney, she was 26 years of age when she married in January 1906 in Dundee. I can't find her in any census at all in Scotland. Father Nicholas Carney mother Margaret Carney. Any help appreciated but I don't think anyone can find her. Betty |
