This is the only William Giles on the 1901 census in Northamptonshire with a wife called Emma. Hi Reggie Not sure all I have been told is about 1890! The only Emma in the 1881 I found was born in 1873 in Northampton but this would make her only about 14 when married? Thank you Danielle

Thank you to you all, I clearly need to try and get more info. That is definetly his birth record though. He did serve in the Notts Derbshire Battalion I have been told also and was awarded a Distinguished Conduct Medal. Thanks again Danielle
