Thanks Jane, I think I have already covered that church as I believe people on another site checked that out for me. However no harm in checking again. Thanks again

Hi Fi, I meant to get back to you a while ago, but have been really busy. There is a possibility that Arthur could have been buried in the old church graveyard. It's now a private residence (since 1970s), but there is access to graveyard :0))) The church was St Mary and All Saints and it is in Old Church Hill, Langdon Hills. It's also down a hill from the Crown :0)) Maybe a letter to the occupiers of the old Church? Good luck, Jane x

I know he died in a hospital in SW London, and my aunt who was 9 when he died said he was buried not far from where they lived at the time in Laindon/Langdon Hills. Thanks

Are you certain he was buried? Did he die in the area in which he was born? If not, his funeral could have been in his birthplace............my father was not buried in the town where he died, but in the one where he was born. Reg

He lived in Laindon/Langdon Hills in Essex and just so you know I have been to the ERO and rung various churches in the area to find him but to no avail. Thanks Fi
