Hi Not sure if Thrashing and Threshing Machine are the same, but in the 1881 census it said he was proprietor of Steam Thrashing machine, your guess is as good as mine, they sound the same! |

I believe my great great grandfather Bartlett Bennett owned a farm in Tangley, Hampshire, in the early part of the 1900. In the 1881 census he lived in Andover with his wife Letitia and 6 children, his occupation was proprietor of a Steam Thrashing Machine. My father vaguely remembers the farm name as being Colstreet Farm, but I have not been able to trace this name. Is there anyone out there who can find me the will of Bartlett Taylor which will hopefully give me some information? Many thank Karen |
