1931 was indeed destroyed during WW2, and no census was taken in 1941 due to ongoing War. Reg

The 1911 census will be available Jan 2012. However the National Archives will do a search of address now but it costs 45 pounds for each search with no refund.. Any personally sensitive information will not be available till the 2012 date. Of interest is the fact your relatives own handwriting can be seen on the census not the enumerators. Google 1911 census to get the full report. Margaret

Every 10 years, believe was 1930 census destroyed in war - not sure if 1940 census done. Lots of folks here know heaps more than me. But due to privacy laws, census only released after 100 years. So 1911 census in full scheduled to be released in 2011. But believe there is talk about a partial release (non sensitive) information in about 2009. Hope someone will correct me if I am wrong. Sue
