My grandfather was George Frank Henry Tanner born in Brighton in 1882. His mother, Fanny Jane Tanner, was unmarried and there is no father's name on his birth certificate. George was brought up by an aunt and uncle in Brighton. They were Thomas and Elizabeth Tanner. However, at the moment I am unable to link Fanny and Thomas on any records and so trace back further Family rumour is that Fanny married someone by with the surname Knight or Knights Can anyone help? Love to hear from you
