can any one help i am trying to find information on JOHN HOWE birth around 1863 give or take a few yrs, father to Alma Howe born 1888 swallownest rotherham yorkshire,mother Harriet nee Clarke i can not trace alma,s parents which it states on b/cert for reasons unknown Alma went to lodge at MILLTOWN in ASHOVER DERBYSHIRE in Mary ann Maskerry house she was born 1838 in ashover . Alma was 3yrs old (1891 census ) also mary allsop aged 22 general servant born eckington chesterfield derby 1869 (she was also in 1881 cen 12yrs scholar&boarder ) back to 1891 census a baby orlando johnson aged 1yr born bolton lancs forward in time to 1901 census ALMA still living in Milltown but in Edward Spring house together with Mary Allsop & Orlando Johnson SO the 3 stayed together what happened to mary & orlando is not known WHAT happened to ALMA;s PARENTS However Alma lived to be 101 yrs old She did once tell my mother she went to live with her grand mother when she was very young till she died then lodged I WOULD BE VERY GRATEFULL IF ANYBODY CAN FIND ANY INFORMATION ON MY GREAT GRANDMA |
