am trying to find any jollys who came from cumbria, northumberland, westmoorland or lancs. kendal was a possible homebase. i believe that i have traced my great grandmother, mary jane jolly to beetham in cumbria in the 1861 cencus.she was living with her grandmother jane birkell and brother john, the children were only seven years old. there are spanish connections within the early family which would lead to the name en-lora which has been kept in the family throughout the years.
