Hi. I am trying to trace my gt grandmother Susannah Claxton or Worhall who was born c.1843 in St.Martins in the Field and in the 1851 census was living with her grandmother Sarah Claxton (dob c.1791) in St. Annes, Soho. She was then recorded as Susannah Claxton. In the 1861 census she was still with her grandmother but recorded as Susannah Woshall. She later married my grandfather George Rolfe in about 1866 when she is recorded on the marriage certificate as Susannah Worhall. They had three children- George William b 1867, Emily Elizabeth b 1870 and my grandfather Edgar Charles b 1872. My father thought Susannah had been an orphan and knew very little about her. Can anyone help me fill in some of the puzzle? Charlotte T.
