Hi i'm trying to find information on my great grandfather Michael McEvoy born Kilkenny Ireland around 1850. They moved to England because of the potatoe famine around 1852 and i think they moved to Lanchashire or Yorkshire i'm not sure.... I also don't know if he had any brother or sisters?... I would love to hear from anyone with the McEvoy name who came from Kilkenny around the same time. My great grandfather married a Jane Morris from Worcestershire around 1882 and settled in Stockport. Any information about Kilkenny, brothers, sisters or where they first settled when they moved to England would be greatly appreciated thanks... |
