Trying to find Cooke

I am trying to find my grandfathers family tree & any relitives he may have had. Grand dads name was Ernest Hope Cooke his dad was Mathew Hope Cooke. I do not have a name for Mathews wife. Ernest was raised by an aunt & uncle as his parents were killed either in South Africa or India, I have two different stories so not sure which. Mathew was there working when he & his wife were killed. Mathew was born about 1864 & died about 1884. I am also trying to find the Hope link. I will be most grateful for any & all help. Thank-you.
