Hello Samatha

I have been looking at the Donnachie boards and came across yours, if you need to do any research you can look on www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk this is an official site and it will cost to look. If you know what you are looking for ie. bmd records then you can get copies by ringing New Register House on 0131 3144411.
Best of luck in your search

Hello Samantha

My name is Dunnachie and when researching my ancestors I found that there were many diffirent spellins eg Dunechy, Donaghy, Donachy to name but a few. Where exactly was your grandfather born in Scotland.

My ancestors came from Maybole, Ayrshire. There might be some distant connection!

Hope to hear from you soon to compare notes.

Regards

Helen
