Find Ancestors

My grandfather Arthur Jennings was born in c1878 and died in the oxford workhouse infirmary in June 1911 aged 33, he received in and out aid from the workhouse in 1910/1911,I can't find a marriage for him and my Gran Emily (maiden name Masters) ,perhaps living over the brush? , so the valuable data from a marriage certificate to help identify his origins is not available .Emily is down on Arthurs death cert as Emily Jennings, his wife. There were three children , Montague Arthur Jennings (my dad) b1907, Nora Anne b1908 and Fredrick b1910 . Just before his death their address was 37 Jericho st oxford,which i understand to be a very poor area indeed . their address prior to that was 4 Wards Row , Georges mews in St Peter Le Bailey Oxford. His profession is stated as stableman /livery. A couple of Arthur Jennings have been suggested (Wallingford and Tilehurst)and there is a hint of an Irish connection. The annoying thing is that i originally started my research with him about 3 years ago and he is the only part of the family i have not made any progress with. I have been told the Wallingford Arthur is unlikely as he appears to have had children christened in Gaydon . I have come to a dead end so any help would be much appreciated. Graham Jennings
