Trying to find Lightowler

I am trying to find out about JOSHUA LIGHTOWLER. He was the son of Thomas and Susanna Lightowler, both 'of Drighlington', and was baptised in Birstall, Yorkshire, on July 13th 1828. He had a sister, Susanna Hargreaves Lightowler, who was born on Christmas Day 1829 and baptised on February 21st 1830. Then he disappears. I can't find a marriage for him, and when his son, ISAAC LIGHTOWLER married Martha Woodhead in Moldgreen on June 12th 1876, Joshua's 'rank and profession' is 'deceased', but I can't find an entry in St Catherine's for his death. Isaac was born about 1854 but there is no entry in the St Catherine's Index for him. In various censuses, his birthplace is given as Gibraltar. I'd be interested and very grateful if anyone could give me information about Isaac's parents; who his mother was and if he had brothers or sisters.
