I am trying to find out about my mothers family. I believe they came to Scotland from Ireland sometime after 1886. Her father was called William Luke and he was born in 1846. He was married twice, first to a Mary Cameron in 1866 in Ireland and then he married my great grandmother Rachel Johnstone in Scotland some years later. His mother was called Margaret Luke. I think the family originally came from Ballymena in County Antrim. Would love to hear from anyone who may have some information. Thanks Myra. |
