Member Since: October 2006 Posts: 8 Send Message	My ggg grandfather was Thomas BATTERSBY, he was born 1805abt. and quite probably in Yorkshire/ Lancashire. His father was either John or Thomas. He married a Christiana Gibbon in January 1825 they had 4/5 children. Thomas & Christiana left England for South Australia in 1838. Maybe the spelling of the surname is spelt differently. But I simply CANNOT find any more information about their English background, I don't even know what parishes to possibly check out. Any relevant information would be great.
